Noyane - Chicago

Featuring sweeping views of some of the swankiest parts of downtown Chicago, Noyane is Conrad Chicago's seasonal rooftop lounge. It's Japanese inspired, showcasing small, shareable plates, original cocktails and craft beers.

"Noyane" translates to "hidden roof" in Japanese, but if you're at eye level with this fashionable alfresco bar, it's easy to spot. Its sleek, minimalist design consists of muted slate colors throughout the venue, enhanced by fresh flowers, modern furniture and strategically placed light fixtures.

There's plenty to nosh on at Noyane, and most items are shareable. Hand-crafted maki rolls consist of spicy tuna, king crab and A5 wagyu beef. Pork belly steamed buns, tempura rock shrimp and BBQ king trumpet mushrooms are options for those who prefer their items cooked. And sushi enthusiasts may opt for the omasaki, a chef's choice of sashimi or nigiri.

Brunch is also served at Noyane, and it consists of abbreviated items from the dinner menu. Many of the cocktails are modern renditions playing up the Japanese theme. There's sake sangria, an Old Fashioned made with Japanese whiskey and Kyoto Collins amped up with green tea-infused gin.
