Wow. Just wow. Five star experience all around! Montarra has been on our list for years, but it's a bit far for us, so we kept putting it off. Not anymore!...
Here for the first time on a weekend for dinner with friends who are regulars here. They absolutely raved about the place and so I thought this would be...
Amazing food and drinks! Great place to celebrate my fiancé birthday! Great service, kind staff!
Montarra provided excellent service as soon as we walked through the door. The hostess was able to seat us 15 minutes before our scheduled reservation. One thing that worried us as soon as we waited for the hostess was a moment of loud cheering. It was very loud, we were like "oh no!" But once we sat down it seemed to mellow down. Bread and water were served just as we sat down, and our waitress came a few minutes later. Kasey (waitress) was impeccable, and truly outstanding service. She made honest recommendations, and constantly check in on us. We order two appetizers - Fresh Goat Cheese Croquettes and the Pork Belly Kimchi Fried Rice - it was pure heaven! Then, decided to split The Iceberg Wedge which was delicious as well. Our main entree was the 9oz Black Angus, “Churrasco Style” Skirt Steak and Shrimp and Sea Scallops DeJonghe along with an order of Bacon Braised Brussels Sprouts. Every single thing was AMAZING! It was such a joyful experience from having such an attentive and kind server like Kasey to how delicious each plate was. I also ordered the Apple Pie Old Fashion, phew! I HIGHLY recommend checking out Montarra. Great applause to our waitress, she had a great attitude and wonderful spirit.
This was a birthday dinner. Reserved online reservations, didn’t give us any option to pick our seats yet when we got there, we were the first ones to sit and eat. We asked if we can get a booth instead of a window seat where it was colder, they said those are already reserved. Come to find out our entire time we spent there, which was over an hour, and there were two booths open with nobody sitting there the entire visit. Our food was good, steak needed salt, spicy lobster isn’t really spicy at all maybe the tiniest hint of spice. Desert was great, wouldn’t recommend for people who don’t like too much sweetness. The donut was amazing but too much compiled sweet taste, overall food was 4/5 but the fact they didn’t give us a booth and we were the first reservation at 4pm to show up for my girls birthday dinner was a huge bummer. I even took a photo before we sat and before we left for proof that nobody took the booth we asked for. Brushed us off like it was nothing. Yet we still tipped good for good service.
