Lizzie's Bake Shoppe is a throwback to the bakeries of yesteryear, decorated with enough nostalgic Americana to recall a grandma's kitchen. Owner Liz Isaacs prepares fresh pastries, cakes, cookies, doughnuts, biscuits, and lots more in her small Ukrainian Village shop. Her signature item is the cruffle, a cake truffle loaded with flavors and textures, designed to be eaten in one bite. The bakery is also entirely nut-free, meaning no peanuts or tree nuts of any kind are used in the bakery, an important factor for the mother of three school-age children.
