I discovered the Ambassador Room when I looked into working at Ambassador Chicago for a day. Although I did not reserve a room, I did stop by the Ambassador Room for Happy Hour. Let me start with the delicious $8.00 Old Fashioned. The cocktail is $25.00 after 7:00 PM. The Crab Fritters were tasty and reminded me of crispy hush puppies. I tried a small portion of the well-seasoned Buttermilk Chicken Tenders because I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a kale salad. I also sampled the Butler Burger. The French Fries were so good, we asked for another order. Finally, I ended the meal with chocolate cake. If you are a dessert person, you will enjoy the perfectly sliced shareable cake. The ambiance was great despite the low lighting. We checked out the pictures on the wall. How many famous people can you spot? Overall, I enjoyed Happy Hour. I will stop by again and sit at the bar instead of the high-top table. Even though the server did not recommend the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, I will try it when I go back. If you are looking for somewhere different to have a cocktail, try Happy Hour at the Ambassador Room.

very sad that the most iconic restaurant in chicago history is now a mediocre hotel cafeteria named after a “celebrity chef” that no one has heard of. (he worked for david burke, no one cares.) let’s see if this gets reconcepted for the millionth time anytime soon and they can finally get it right.

My wife and I had lunch here and really enjoyed it. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Or waiter was a bit slow and aloof, but he got the job done.

The food is very refined. Their approach is simple and true to material. Absolutely beautiful interior design. I love the atmosphere. It was where all the "who's who" of Chicago used to go. Downstairs gives tribute to that with the wall of historic celebrity pictures. Beautiful, Historic, Refined, Romantic, Amazing
