Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea (Millennium Park)

Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea (Millennium Park)

Doug Zell and his wife, Emily Mange, started Intelligentsia Coffee in a Lake View coffeehouse in 1995, originally roasting and serving coffee on the premises. Today, the coffee, widely regarded as the best of the local brews, is roasted in the company's vintage German roasters at their works in the Fulton Market district and delivered fresh daily.

Along with hot coffee, tea and cocoa, you can get sandwiches, salads and baked goods at this two-story coffeehouse near Millennium Park, as well as bags of roasted coffee, tea and accessories. Intelligentsia has a third retail location in the South Loop. Its coffee is also sold by a variety of restaurants and retailers.
