Bouncer at the door said my girlfriend had “one too many” despite clearly being the most sober and articulate one in the group. She tried to explain that she stumbled over an obvious bump in the sidewalk, I decided we weren’t taking judgement from an extremely obese man charged with guarding the doorway to a mostly empty bar with “help wanted” signs plastered everywhere. Rudest people in Chicago, will never patronize this establishment and strongly encourage all other locals to avoid it.

Stood at the bar for 15 minutes without the bartender acknowledging me. I finally waved my hand in the air so she came to take my order. She said she thought I was just talking to my friend who already had a drink. I guess standing at the bar with no drink in front of me trying to make eye contact with her for 15 minutes wasn’t a clear enough sign that I wanted to order alcohol. It’s nice to know there’s a bar I can go to to have a chat with a friend and not be bothered to actually buy alcohol. I’m very sorry for not being as aggressive to get her attention as the stumbling drunks she served before me.
