Francesca's on Chestnut

The 20th location of the Francesca's family of restaurants, like the the other locations, offers pastas, pizzas and Italian entrees based on the cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. The restaurant serves brunch on weekends and also offers carryout and catering. It's handy to the Broadway Playhouse.

Underneath the restaurant, Di Sotto Enoteca pours Italian and Old World wines — 130 wines by the bottle and 30 by the glass — and serves small plates until 1 a.m. weekdays and later on Fridays and Saturdays.

Francesca's ragu alla Bolognese recipe.
