As some others have pointed out, Dak is most definitely an important part of this area. I don't recall it having much popularity among students per se, but it is not because it's bad -- it's a hidden gem. That Dak is a Korean family-owned business is in itself significant. The prices are a bit steep, but at the same time, no other food frankly tastes like this except for a select few; having really good Korean food in this area is a game changer and is certainly less common than other cuisines. I hope more people will patron this business so as to help them make it through the (still ongoing) pandemic. I've seen way too many local restaurants close down during the past couple years. Dak is a treat for sure!

My favorite place of all time to get Bibimbap! I always get the tofu (regular or spicy). I moved away from Chicago and made a point to come back here. They did not disappoint! The food is as delicious as ever!

Dak is consistently delicious and a great place to stop and pick up dinner if you’re in the area. The spicy tofu bibimbap is both flavorful and filling, and the folx here are super friendly as well. Love itt 🫶🏽

If you’re in the area you must stop here. If you have a 3 hour drive to get here, you must stop here. The food was incredible, wings were huge and super crispy and the employees were very friendly, will go again and again.

Dak is a staple of the southern edge of Loyola’s campus and should be given the respect it has earned, little by little, with every order of delicious jumbo wings it has churned out of its magical kitchen. Better ingredients, better pizza, papa jo—wait no, Dak chicken!

Dak is one of my favorite places for korean style chicken wings. Hadnt eaten there in a while but decidwd to try it on this Friday night. So disappointed....

I literally came all the way from Atlanta for this!!!! I love this place! My absolute favorite restaurant in Chicago. Every item on the menu is delicious and homemade. Support local!!!
