Peach's at Currency Exchange Cafe - Chicago
Chicago artist and visionary Theaster Gates has teamed up with chef Cliff Rome (Peach's Restaurant) for this South Side eatery specializing in Southern-focused American fare.
Located in Garfield Park, which is only a few blocks west of Hyde Park, Peach's at Currency Exchange Cafe (formerly Currency Exchange Cafe) is also a few steps away from the newly renovated Green Line elevated train.
The restaurant is only open for breakfast, brunch and lunch; specialties include peach bourbon French toast, shrimp and cheese grits, peach cobbler, and a DLT (duck bacon, spinach and tomato on sourdough bread).
There's no booze; coffee, tea and sodas are available.
