Opened in August 2009, this cozy restaurant concentrates on Mexican small plates and seasonal entrees made from sustainable ingredients. Look for dishes like roasted leg of lamb in a rustic sauce of mulato chiles, bitter chocolate and sesame seeds, and grilled, herb-marinated whole game hen with charred tomato molcajete salsa, blackened knob onions and pot beans.

Great small plate menu options. The simple dishes were really well done. The prices were on the higher end of what I would be willing to pay however the BYOB option is a nice perk.

You have to come in ready to do things to their way, but when you do, it’s totally worth it. Amazing, special, well thought out food. Fresh limeade for tequila. Great ambiance. Cozy and interesting. I am in awe at this place. Would 100% reccomend!

The best restaurant in Chicago. Hands down. Amazing food, great atmosphere, incredible staff. Incredibly allergy friendly - owner is gluten-free and almost everything on the menu is gluten-free friendly. We take everyone here when they visit.
