Fantastic German food!! And the beer selection is second to none. Server was very helpful and offered her feedback on food choices and beer choices as well. Will definitely be back. Update (Feb 2022) finally made it back. Still fantastic food, great beer selection. Update (June 2022) made it back. Had the Goulash and chicken schnitzel, both fantastic. Still great beer choices.

I would give 10 stars if I could. I love this restaurant. Hands down the best German and Bavarian food in the Chicago area. The beer selection is insane. The only German potato salad I've had better is my Grandma's. Schnitzel is perfect. The meatloaf is a hidden gem on the menu, absolutely delicious.

I've heard that this place has really good food so I thought I'd give it a try. I had the stuffed potato dumplings, with a side of red cabbage and a salad. The dumplings were good but not great. Inside was ground pork that lacked flavor. Maybe they could have added some onion and bacon to the pork filling. The gravy was very salty. Red cabbage was great! Not overly sweet and a little tangy, just like grandma used to make. I wasn't at all impressed with the salad. It was just lettuce with a tiny piece of radish and a tiny piece of cucumber. The dill dressing was very good. I also got the spaetzle soup. Not only was it pricey for the amount I got, but also very salty. I had to water it down a bit.

One of the best beer selections in the area. Especially rare from German traditional breweries yet good modern local and us breweries. Some great authentic German dishes as well as some modern twists. A gem in lisle.
