Bucktown Pub - Chicago
It's a no-frills bar that even allows you to bring your dog.

I'm old enough to remember the old regulars talk about Wally, the old owner, who shot himself in upstairs apartment back in the 70s. But while his ghost hasn't been seen in ages, not much has really changed despite the regular renovations and "improvements". It just goes to show that gentrification doesn't necessarily have to destroy a classic neighborhood joint. The faces may change, the property values increase, and the strollers get fancier, but folks still need a place to push back and relax.
Bucktown pub the name says it all. It IS the neighborhood pub. Great Chicago bar with a comfy patio. You cannot beat the beer and a shot daily specials. The bartenders are all kickass and won't treat you like an idiot and if they're feeling extra nice they'll also make you some popcorn. The regulars come back for a reason, Bucktown pub is the best Free popcorn is delicious
Very good bar. Good selection and bartenders know what they're doing
My date was crazy but the bar was great. Would love to come back without him lol… staff was cool… vibe, prices, and guests all awesome… literally my only complaint was my own date and it’s *my* fault he was in this great bar, so I’m sorry, and I will not bring him again haha— I’ll just bring my cool friends next time, I promise.
Great local Chicago pub that accepts cards and has a quaint outdoor patio. Great place to visit for a quiet beer on a Sunday with some locals.
