Bordel - Chicago
This esoteric speakeasy space above Black Bull takes its cue from NYC's PDT and Canelaria in Paris. While Bordel's a cocktail lounge on the highest level, it also incorporates live entertainment in the mix.
Don't go, however, expecting a pianist or acoustic soloist as Bordel aims to bring guests offbeat entertainment they cannot get elsewhere in the city. Expect flamenco artists, burlesque entertainers and a rotating group of musical curators to keep the pulse of the evening constantly elevated. Deejays spin Saturday nights.
Sustenance at Bordel consists of small, share-able plates ranging from charcuterie and cheese boards to a specialty Iberico ham that's cured on premises.
