Booth One - Chicago

The legendary Pump Room is no longer. In its place is Booth One, which pays homage to the restaurant's iconic table that hosted celebrities since its 1938 debut. From Bogart to Bowie, plus Eddie Murphy, Frank Sinatra and Carol Channing, Booth One was the place to be seen on the scene in Chicago for decades.

During the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises (LEYE) owned the institution The Pump Room. They sold it to nightlife impresario Ian Schrager, who modernized it with a clubby element and updated American fare.

He sold it back to them in 2017 when the company decided to transform it into Booth One. When the restaurant opens fall 2017, expect all-day dining and contemporary American fare.
