Master Sommelier and Chicago television personality Alpana Singh (longtime host of WTTW’s Emmy-award winning Check Please!) opened this ambitious project in the historic location of 720 N. Wells St. in 2012. The Boarding House is an upscale multi-level restaurant and wine bar in a vintage building that, at one time, functioned as a boarding house. It's Chicago’s first master sommelier-owned restaurant. Boarding House is co-owned by Matt Fisher and John Ward of Bistronomic.
