The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, is made up of 1,700 acres of land, containing gardens and collections of trees from diverse geographical areas. There are over 4,100 species of trees, shrubs, and plants from around the world in the Arboretum. 16 miles of hiking trails and nine miles of roadways for biking and driving weave there way through the Arboretum. It also features a four-acre Children's Garden and a 1-acre Maze Garden, as well as other specially landscaped areas. It offers a thorough education program designed to teach visitors more about plants and nature.
