Malcolm X College of Chicago

Malcolm X College is one of the City Colleges of Chicago, a two-year college on the city's west side. Founded originally as Crane Junior College in 1911, it's actually the first of the City Colleges. For a period in the mid-20th century, it was located in the North Lawndale neighborhood and was eventually renamed Malcolm X after civil rights activist Malcolm X. The college specializes in healthcare, with Rush University Medical Center serving as its main corporate partner.
