Judy Istock Butterfly Haven
-Upwards of 1,000 butterflies fill the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven, located within Lincoln Park's Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. The Haven is a refuge of color, with 75 species of butterfly fluttering around on any given day, plus tropical trees, pools of water, and vibrant flowers.
The Haven is a 2,700 greenhouse packed with all sorts of butterflies, including many never seen in the Midwest, such as Blue Morphos from South America, Rice Paper butterflies from Asia, and White Lady Swallowtails from Africa. The Haven is also home to colorful birds from across the globe. Visitors can get hands-on at exhibits that explain butterfly lifecycles, migration, and more.
