Chicago Botanic Garden
The Chicago Botanic Garden is a 385-acre plant museum located in Glencoe, Illinois. It's broken up over nine islands with 26 display gardens and four natural habitats: woodland, prairie, river, and lakes and shores. The Botanic Garden is owned by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. It opened to the public in 1972, and is a member of the American Public Garden Association. It serves to promote the enjoyment, education, and conservation of plants from throughout the world. The garden is open every day of the year and admission is free.
