Mod maki: The “Triple K.C.” roll at Japanese/Chinese newcomer Pl8 Simply Asian in Barrington combines smoked and fresh Scottish salmon with crabmeat and cream cheese, surrounded by thin slices of cool cucumber, cut into wheels and finished with a drizzle of sweet rice wine emulsion and a sprinkling of sesame seeds, $10.
