In this week’s batch of brunch bites, Villains begins brunch in the South Loop and Adamus prepares its brunch program for an October debut.




In both its past and present iterations, Villains has been known for its burgers (the current version topped with beef fat mayo is definitely worth noting), but now there’s more to love about the South Loop bar and restaurant with the launch of brunch service. Under the direction of chef Dennis Stover, the beer-focused brunch program is designed to heal hangovers and pair seamlessly with the beer list. Items include Cola-brined brisket hash with potatoes and fried eggs; pork head scrapple with fried eggs and maple vinaigrette; ricotta crepes with mushroom ragu; and plenty more. In regards to those beers, some apropos brunch offerings are the Megalodon Imperial Coffee Porter, the Breakfast Oatmeal Stout, and Saison du Tracteur. There’s also an exclusive
