‘The Dinner Party’ a unique blend of food and arts talk

Chef John Manion makes his signature vegetarian empanadas with kale salad and pork loin with black-bean risotto and chimichurri.

Fear No Art’s “The Dinner Party,” a conversation with leading Chicago artists over a light meal shared with the audience, continues at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 1, at City Winery in the West Loop.

On the 1st, Chef John Manion of La Sirena Clandestina in the West Loop cooks that evening, while the guests include musician Frank Orrall of Poi Dog Pondering, comedienne Peggy MacNamara and Vocalo radio host Brian Babylon. Ballet Chicago’s resident choreographer, Ted Seymour, provides the opening act.

Manion’s appetizer and entree tastings will be paired with a wine tasting from City Winery and chocolate from Vosges Haut Chocolat. Tickets are $35.
