Quaff ‘The 12 Beers of Christmas’ at Chicago bars

Local watering holes are celebrating the season with a variety of yuletide-inspired seasonal brews. Check out the “12 Beers of Christmas” at these taverns and restaurants.

  • AJ Hudson’s Public House in Lakeview hosts a “12 Beers of Christmas” beer school. Jon Lindemann of the Louis Glunz Beer Co. will guide you through a dozen samples, with cheese and crackers, at 8 p.m. tomorrow. Tickets are $30. Reservations required.

  • A dozen limited-edition, seasonal ales and lagers take over the taps at City Tavern in the South Loop from Friday, Nov. 23, through Jan. 1. Try all 12 Christmas brews before the end of the year, and get a free t-shirt.

  • Leopold in West Town features 12 local and imported seasonal beers through the end of the year, with a different beer discounted every few days.

  • Frontier in West Town also serves a dozen seasonal ales and beers, imported and domestic, including local favorites, through Christmas.

  • The “12 Beers of Christmas” at Uncommon Ground in Edgewater include rare, specialty and imported holiday-inspired brews.
