There’s a holiday for everything: National Filet Mignon Day is Monday, Aug. 13.

sampler: four 2 oz. prime filet mignon medallions each prepared a different way — topped with blue cheese, horseradish crusted, peppercorned and Oscar-style with a crown of asparagus, crab and bearnaise sauce, $25.

This location as well as those on the Gold Coast and in Oak Brook also offer three different filet mignon cuts: 10 ounces, 14 ounces and a 16-ounce bone-in version.

The beef is all USDA Process Verified Gibsons Prime Angus — Gibsons own USDA grade. Gibsons is the only restaurant in the country to have this grade.
