Seafood season is here!

  • Shaw’s Crab House in River North and Schaumburg hosts its annual Lobster Fest through July 31, with a variety of specials, including New England-style lobster boil, featuring a cup of clam chowder or lobster bisque, 1-pound Maine lobster, corn on the cob, boiled red potatoes, coleslaw, and a slice of key lime pie. Served family-style for a minimum of two people, it’s $36.99 each. Other specials include lobster maki, lobster pasta, lobster thermidor, sauteed Maine lobster with summer vegetables, lobster with blue crab stuffing, lobster roll, lobster salad and lobster cocktail.

  • Fulton’s on the River in River North hosts all-you-can-eat clambakes on July 10 and Aug. 7, featuring assorted clams with brown butter bread crumbs, mussels, corn on the cob, roasted potatoes, shrimp, chilled watermelon salad, boursin potato salad and honey jalapeno corn bread with two ice cold beers for $35, served on the riverfront veranda with live music.

  • Athena in Greektown offers items such as broiled Norwegian salmon with lemon sauce, $18.99; shrimp Athena (shrimp baked in tomato sauce with vegetables, topped with feta cheese and served over rice), $18.99; seafood kebab (salmon, swordfish and shrimp broiled on a skewer with tomatoes, onions and green peppers), $18.99; and more throughout June.

  • Riva on Navy Pier offers June specials including crab cakes with Louis sauce, capers and Asian-style salad, $14 lunch, $18 dinner; haddock fish and chips with fresh Boston haddock, fries and coleslaw, $17 (lunch only); colossal white shrimp with heirloom tomatoes, andouille, cucumber, basil and oven-dried tomato, $32; and wild Pacific halibut served with Chicago’s farmer market specialty produce, $32.

  • Carlucci in Downers Grove invites you to submit your favorite seafood recipe to its Seafood Recipe Contest. Chef Kevin Provenzano will select the top six recipes. Finalists, along with one guest each, will be invited to taste test, and the winning recipe will be featured on Carlucci’s menu throughout July. The winner will receive a $200 Carlucci gift certificate, as well as a one-night stay at the DoubleTree Hotel in Downers Grove. Entries are due Friday, June 22.
