Go, girls! Chefs showcase women in the kitchen

Five of Chicago’s top female chefs showcase their talents at the 16th annual “Girl Food” dinner benefiting the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at West Town Tavern. Tickets are $150.

Participating chefs are:

  • Nicole Pederson, C-House Restaurant (Smoked sable fish with fiddleheads, miners lettuce, rhubarb, mustard and rye)

  • Priscila Satkoff, ¡Salpicon! (sauteed walleye wrapped in sweet potato strands with chipotle cream)

  • Susan Goss, West Town Tavern (Farmer Friendly capon breast stuffed with country ham, fontina and spinach with goat-cheese grits and spring vegetables)

  • Jackie Shen (Grilled Asian skirt steak with crispy fries)

  • Jesse Oloroso, Black Dog Gelato (Lemon custard cake and olive oil thyme gelato)
