The "World's Largest Corn Maze"

The “World’s Largest Corn Maze” at Richardson Adventure Farm in Spring Grove in McHenry County encompasses 28 acres, with 11 miles of trails through the finest Illinois corn.

Titled “For Freedom,” the maze honors America’s military men and women with a design depicting a soldier, helicopter, tank, ship, jet plane and flag. You can see it from a 50-foot-high observation tower. The farm also offers a picnic grove with campfires, a pumpkin patch and food concessions. Other activities include a 700-foot zip line, 50-foot tube slide, orb rides, jumping pillows, pedal carts, pig races, a petting zoo, paintball gallery and a fenced play area just for little kids.

The maze is open Wednesdays through Sundays through Oct. 31, plus Columbus Day. During the full moon on Oct. 14 and 15, it’s open until midnight. Admission is $12.95 for adults and teens, $9.95 for children ages 4–12 and free for children under 4, half-price for anyone with a military ID.
