Jean Joho

Chicago chef Jean Joho, chef-partner of Everest in the Loop and the as yet-unnamed concept due to replace his erstwhile Brasserie Jo in River North, will appear at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 at the Alliance Française of Chicago.

The Alsace-born Joho is also proprietor of Eiffel Tower restaurant in Las Vegas and recently published The Eiffel Tower Restaurant Cookbook: Capturing the Magic of Paris. He’ll be joined by bestselling author Mireille Guiliano, the writer behind French Women Don’t Get Fat and the new The French Women Don’t Get Fat Cookbook.

Joho and Guiliano will debate their respective philosophies of French cuisine, serve a sample dish from their cookbooks, and autograph copies of their works.

The event takes place at Alliance Francaise, 54 W. Chicago Ave. Tickets are $15.
