Name that smoker!

Smoke Daddy's new smoker.

Smoke Daddy's new smoker.

Wicker Park’s Smoke Daddy invites you to name its new smoker, a massive Southern Yankee smoker trailer. The 5,000-pound smoker — 21 feet long, 9 feet high and 8 feet wide — comprises four individual rotisserie smokers and can cook 216 8-pound pork shoulders, 288 whole chickens or 432 ribs at one time. You can see it in the parking lot next door to the restaurant, using Smoke Daddy’s signature blend of hickory, apple and cherry woods.

Stop by the restaurant between Monday, June 14, and Wednesday, June 30, and submit up to three ideas to name this triple threat. If your choice is selected by Smoke Daddy’s staff, you’ll win a barbecue party for 20 people at Smoke Daddy.

If you want a real test of the new smoking behemoth, visit Smoke Daddy from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, when the restaurant will host a pre-Father’s Day pig roast. Just $25 per person gets you all-you-can-eat smoked pork, coleslaw, house-made chips and Miller Lite drafts. The John Kimler Band provides folk and rock music.
