Party like it’s 1959, Chicago tiki fans. “Retro Zombie Tiki Terror,” a night of zombie fun, Sunday, May 30, at The Tiki Terrace in Des Plaines, features live entertainment, zombie movies, raffles, prizes, tiki tunes and, naturally, zombie cocktails.
The zombie fright fest’s all-ages events run from 3 to 10 p.m. and include a Polynesian floor show at 8 p.m. Late-night activities for ages 18-and-up start at 10 p.m. with a zombie costume contest, followed by a zombie pinups beauty pageant.
Admission is $20 at the door; island-style food and tropical drinks are extra.
If you can’t wait till the weekend for your tiki fix, Tiki Terrace hosts a pig roast and barbecue Tuesday, May 25, followed by an open-mic jam.
