
D.O.C. Wine Bar in Lincoln Park celebrates its fifth anniversary at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, with an array of passed hors d’oeuvres, including seared ahi tuna crostina with ginger soy vinaigrette and wasabi caviar, truffled fingerling potatoes with wild mushroom ragout, sea scallop and polenta sliders, braised short rib and tallegio flatbreads and crab cakes with spicy remoulade, plus $10 wine flights and $7 glasses of champagne.

Through March 31, Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House on the Gold Coast fetes its 13th anniversary with a chef’s selection of 13 oysters for $13. The oyster selection features such bivalves as Wiannos from Cape Cod (white, slightly sweet and profoundly salty) and Lady Chatterly oysters from Nova Scotia (sweet start with a briny finish and firm meat). The oysters would regularly cost $32.50.

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse commemorates 10 years in Rosemont, Sunday, March 28, through Thursday, April 1, by marking its signature 10-ounce filet mignon down to $10 at lunch and dinner. Patrons can also participate in a free raffle for dinner for 10 at Gibsons and 10 tickets to the Beatles tribute band 1964. The celebration concludes Thursday, April 1 with a grand anniversary bash featuring live music by Lenny Capp, a free champagne toast at 8 p.m. and prize drawings.
Gibsons is set to open its newest lcoation in Oak Brook in May.
