Night out: In the ‘Garden of Eatin’ ’

Garden of Eatin’

Food is on the table when n.u.f.a.n. ensemble offers another of its quirky, short-run theater festivals at 8 p.m. tomorrow and Wednesday, March 16 and 17, at Prop Thtr in Avondale.

“Garden of Eatin’” covers aspects of food culture from obnoxious food channel divas to unwanted guests at an upscale restaurant, with an assortment of cranky waitresses, stressed out moms, and young couples in culinary turmoil.

Tickets are $10.

On Tuesday, you can get a bite before or a drink afterward across the street at Chief O’Neill’s Pub; on Wednesday, however, the Chief will be holding a St. Patrick’s Day festival with live music, a $14 set meal and a $10 cover charge. That’ll be fun, but if you’re looking for something quieter, you might want to check out the Mexican food at La Finca down the street.
