Night out: Pizza and Joni Mitchell

Foiled Again

Foiled Again

Here’s a way to foil the Monday blues: Grab a pizza at Evanston’s Union Pizzeria on Monday, July 13, and head to the adjoining Evanston SPACE, 1245 N. Chicago Ave., for a cool flashback to “Dark Cafe Days,” a Joni Mitchell tribute by the harmonic trio Foiled Again (Allison Bazarko, Rob Lindley and Anne Sheridan Smith, with Doug Peck on piano). The show features new arrangements of Mitchell classics like “Woodstock,” “Circle Game,” “Raised on Robbery,” and “Big Yellow Taxi.”

The music starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $25 for a cabaret table. Call (847) 492-8860 for tickets or order online.
