Weekly Planner: Happy Hour at III Forks Prime Steakhouse, Fall Lattes, Oktoberfest Specials and More

Anniversary Burger at Weber Grill

It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since Weber Grill put down roots in River North, long before the neighborhood became the culinary epicenter it is today. Such an accomplishment definitely merits celebration, and the meaty institution is doing just that throughout September with a special anniversary burger. During lunch through the end of the month, the restaurant is offering a chef-inspired burger paired with a Weber Backyard Brew on draft, which is a Goose Island wheat ale. The burger features an Angus beef patty, hickory-smoked beef brisket, Merkt’s cheddar, bread & butter pickles and brisket-mustard aïoli. The combo goes for just $15, aptly, or you can get the burger by itself for a slightly less poetic $11.

Happy Hour at III Forks Prime Steakhouse

There’s a great new happy hour in town, and it can be found at one of downtown’s best steakhouses. With bargains on wine, oysters and lots more, III Forks Prime Steakhouse is raising the bar on the weekday offerings. From 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, guests at the restaurant can partake in half-priced wine by the glass, $5 select martinis, $1 oysters and half-priced Angus beef burgers. The promo is available in the lower-level lounge and on the rooftop patio, which has cozy cabanas and fireplaces for fall comfort.

Fall Drinks at Goddess and the Baker

Forget about pumpkin spice lattes. Goddess and the Baker has a tasty, spicy lineup of fall drinks to savor this season. For a limited time, offerings include Golden Milk, a steamed medley of milk and turmeric with cinnamon, ginger, honey and pepper. The iced honey matcha latte is made with almond milk and sweetened with Japanese black honey, while the Mexican cold-brew float features cafe de olla syrup, cold-brew coffee, vanilla gelato and cinnamon.

End of Summer Celebration With Pub Royale and urbanbelly

With festivities like Oktoberfest in the offing, it’s clear that summer is officially over. But not without one last party. To send the season off in style, Pub Royale and urbanbelly are partnering for a special fete on September 28 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at urbanbelly’s Wicker Park outpost. Along with music by DJ Juan, the restaurants will offer a family-style menu that includes a rice noodle bar with various toppings and hot chicken with chili chutney, plus samosa potato salad and paneer curry fried rice with pea shoots.
