Weekday Planner: Lunch at Analogue, Fried Chicken Mondays, Pork Shoppe Power Hour

Lunch at Analogue

There's a new weekday lunch option in town, and it has a Cajun accent. You know and love Analogue for its evening cocktails, its weekend brunch, and its sterling dinner menu. Now there's more to savor with the bar's weekday lunch program, available Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The crux of the lunch is po' boys, starters, and rotating daily specials courtesy of chef Alfredo Nogueira. Get hungry for the likes of filé gumbo, smoked fish dip, buttermilk biscuits with Steen's cane syrup butter, and lunch-exclusive sandwiches like a roast beef po' boy and a hot sausage po' boy. Rotating specials range from meatloaf and roast chicken to red beans and rice. To drink, cocktail mavens Robert Haynes and Henry Prendergast have whipped up some more New Orleans-inspired cocktails. Lunch is also available for carryout or delivery.

Fried Chicken Mondays at Villains

Fried chicken is a surefire way to take the sting out of Mondays. Down in the South Loop, Villains is serving up a crispy comfort food on Mondays, with their off-menu fried chicken special. Those in the know will be rewarded with a platter of fried chicken from Slagel Family Farm, with a biscuit and coleslaw. The cost is $18 per serving, which features a half chicken. Only 19 orders are available each Monday night, so act fast.

Power Hour at Pork Shoppe

You've heard of happy hour. Well, Pork Shoppe in Andersonville is upping the ante with their weekday Power Hour, which cuts costs of beer to 50% off every Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The craft brew selections are pretty killer, so you're not likely to find a better beer deal than this. Offerings include Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout, Two Brothers Domaine DuPage, Off Color Apex Predator, Stone Go To IPA, Half Acre Daisy Cutter, Aquanaut Misterioso, Local Option Die Koening, Lagunitas IPA, and Solemn Oath The Royal We.
