Eat Irish Fries at Shake Shack

St. Patrick's Day may not be until March 17, but a bulk of the festivities and menu specials take place the weekend prior, meaning there are Irish fries to be had at Shake Shack this weekend. Available March 13 through March 17m Shake Shack's Irish fries are crinkle-cut fries topped with horseradish cream, scallions, and crispy applewood-smoked bacon morsels. 

St. Patrick's Day at ROOF

Once you're done marveling at the green-dyed river and grappling with the hordes of people, make your way 27 stories up to ROOF on theWit to really drink in the vista. And also drink in the Baby Irish Car Bombs and Guinness and Irish Whiskey and Irish Mist Pitchers made with Jameson, Drambuie, honey syrup, fresh lemon juice, and housemade bitters. Doors open at noon and reservations are available. 

 

Mint Whip Cocktails

Forget Shamrock Shakes. This St. Patrick's Day weekend, it's all about the Mint Whip cocktail. The Florentine may be Italian, but the Loop restaurant is embracing its Irish side on March 14 with special Mint Whip cocktails made with Stolichnaya Vanilla vodka, Varnelli Caffe Moka, Bailey's Irish Cream, and mint-infused whipped cream. It's available all day on March 14, in case you need a departure from green beer and Irish whiskey. 

Omakase Dinner Series at Ramen-san

Finally, in non-St. Patrick's Day news, Ramen-san continues its Omakase dinner series on March 15 with "21 Little Dishes." This special multi-course affair captures the essence of a Japanese omakase, wherein chefs create dishes on a whim that day utilizing the utmost ingredients. Dinner kicks off at 6:00 p.m. and costs $54 per person, with optional a la carte cocktails featuring Two James Spirits. Reservations are limited.
