The latest restaurant to hop aboard the brunch bandwagon is House 406, a Northbrook staple helmed by Stephanie Izard's former assistant Jennifer Eisen and her partner Eloin Amador. The American farm-to-table concept is serving up weekend dishes like banana-pecan pancakes with whipped pecan butter; Cocoa Krispie-crusted French toast with chocolate sabayon; fried oyster po' boys with pickle chips and chipotle mayonnaise; and chilaquiles with fried eggs and Chihuahua cheese. Brunch is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Brunch is about to get musical at The I|O Godfrey, the restaurant located on the fourth floor of The Godfrey Hotel in River North. On March 14, the Duke's Men of Yale a cappella group will be in attendance for a special, exclusive brunch performance that kicks off at 1:30 p.m. The event entails a 30-40 minute live musical medley to accent brunch service. Expect a wide range of musical styles, from classic hits to modern twists. After the public concert, the group will also be doling out a selection of personal serenades.
