Second Annual Sardinian Lamb Jam at Terzo Piano
Lamb steps into the spotlight on March 5 at Terzo Piano for the second annual Sardinian Lamb Jam. Taking place 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., the event features a slew of restaurants and chefs competing in a chummy lamb cook-off in anticipation of spring to come. The walk-around event offers various Sardinian-inspired lamb creations from chefs like Megan Neubeck (Terzo Piano), Chris Marchino (Cafe Spiaggia), Jimmy Bannos Jr. (The Purple Pig), and John Hogan (River Roast). While noshing and sipping Sardinian wines, guests will be able to vote for their favorite dishes. The event costs $85 per person and tickets can be purchased here.
Five Breweries Dinner at TWO
What's better than a beer dinner? A beer dinner that features five breweries, of course. Chef Kevin Cuddihee and the crew at TWO are welcoming five Midwestern breweries for a special beer-tastic dinner on March 5. The five-course affair features a different seasonally inspired dish paired with a specific beer from the likes of Solemn Oath Brewing, Off Color Brewing, Penrose Brewing, Perennial Artisan Ales, and Brewery Vivant. And in case all that beer wasn't enough, the dinner will be preceded by an hour-long reception at 6:00 p.m. featuring beer samples that are not featured on the menu. Dinner starts at 7:00 p.m. and features dishes like pistachio-crusted oysters, wild mushroom and baby spinach salad with ricotta fritter, butter-poached wild salmon with bourbon-maple glaze, coffee-rubbed lamb, and s'mores. Dinner is $70 per person.
LYFE Week at LYFE Kitchen
March is National Nutrition Month. Yay. Might as well make the most of it by eating healthful food that also tastes good at LYFE Kitchen. To kick off Nutrition Month, the restaurant is hosting LYFE Week from March 1 through March 7, with themed samples during breakfast and lunch for patrons. This wholesome goodness includes gluten-free margherita flatbreads on March 2, hibiscus-beet LYFE water on March 3, Greek yogurt bowls on March 4, ginger-pomegranate lemonade on March 5, chipotle-potato hash on March 6, and carrot-walnut zucchini muffins on March 7.
Weekly Promos at JIMMY
Speaking of weekly themed specials, JIMMY is featuring a handful of weekly promos through April 4. Wednesday to Friday, the bar is offering Wine Down specials of select $6 glasses and $5 appetizers from David Burke's Primehouse. Wednesdays are also Tea & Toddy days, which entails a $12 pot of toddy, a $30 pot of toddy with sweet and savory snacks, or a $7 pot of tea. Thursdays are Uptown Express Vinyl Night, with DJ Will Galvan at the wheel spinning contemporary and vintage recordings from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. Then Galvan is back on Fridays to play his own unique mixes and mash-ups from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.
