The Godfather Menu Specials at Tesori

On February 3 and 4, one of the most legendary films of all time lends inspiration to some menu specials at Tesori. Inspired by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's screening of The Godfather, the nearby Italian restaurant is cooking up some specials that are to die for. Think veal Marsala, spaghetti and meatballs, orange sorbet, and gelato. For reservations call or visit Tesori.

Black Star Farms Dinner at White Oak Tavern & Inn

Farm-to-table dining reaches an apex on February 5 at White Oak Tavern & Inn, where Black Star Farms is set to take the stage for a special farm dinner. The Suttons Bay, Michigan-based farm is one of the Midwest's preeminent destinations for wine, spirits, and ciders, and their wares are making their way into chef John Asbaty's four-course menu, as well as special cocktails. Black Star's John Morgan will be in attendance for the occasion, which costs $70 per person inclusive of drink pairings. The dinner menu includes duck rillettes with apple-cherry hard cider, winter chard and roasted vegetables with Gruner Veltliner, housemade gnocchi with rabbit and Cabernet Franc, and warm pear cake with chocolate mousse and a bourbon-pear brandy cocktail.   Call to make reservations.
