Grillhouse by David Burke is beefing up the brunch scene in the 'burbs. Now available from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sundays, brunch at Grillhouse features a daytime iteration of the restaurant's modern American cuisine. Dishes include a dry-aged steak and eggs plate, brunch pizza, candied bacon-filled omelets, nutmeg-spiced French toast, and buttermilk pancakes heaped with fruit and almonds. Lunchier options range from the eponymous Grillhouse burger to chicken BLTs and shrimp and chicken salads.

All month long in February, Tanta is toasting to National Pisco Sour Day with a slew of specials and promotions, one of which is a brunch time class celebrating Peru's signature spirit. Pisco Parton Brand Ambassador Natalia Cardenas will lead the class, starting with a Parton Bloody Mary before speaking about the history of pisco, detailing tasting notes and recipes, and demonstrating Pisco Sours and Chilcano cocktails. The chef, meanwhile, will fill guests up with shared small plates. At the end of the event, guests get to take home a goodie bag filled with bar tools. Tickets to the event are $49 per person and reservations can be made by calling Lucy Kendall at 312-222-9604 or emailing events@tantachicago.com.
