Weekday Planner: New Year's Edition

Bubbly at ENO Wine Room

Seeing as New Year's Eve is the quintessential holiday for bubbly, you'd best go right to the source with sparkling wine aplenty at ENO Wine Room. The Mag Mile bar and restaurant is toasting to 2015 by offering a different bottle of exclusive bubbly every hour starting at 5:00 p.m. on December 31. Bubbly is available by the half glass for $8 a pop, an ideal format for those interested in sampling an array of sparklers rather than just get drunk on random booze at midnight. Bottles include Gosset Grand Reserve Brut, Naveran Perles Blanques Cuvee Antona Cava, Serveaux et Fils Blanc de Noirs, and Duval-Leroy Grand Cru Brut.

Family-friendly New Year at Gemini Bistro

New Year's is often regarded as an adults' holiday, what with all the late-night drinking and frivolity. But Gemini Bistro provides a bastion for families as well this year, with its special family-friendly menu offerings. With a first seating at 5:30 p.m., youngsters can get in on the holiday action with a countdown to "midnight" at 6:30 p.m., along with a two-course meal and sparkling juice. Adults, meanwhile, can partake in a three-course dinner with a glass of Champagne. The menu costs $20 per child and the adult menu costs $80 per person.
