Weekday Planner: Margarita Monday, Meat & Drink Night, Sauced Night Market, and Mangalitsa Pig Dinner

Margarita Mondays

Margaritas are a fine way to kick off the week in a non-depressing way. While you're waiting for Taco Tuesdays, indulge in Margarita Mondays at Tallboy Taco every Monday this month. Available from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., margs go for just $7, down from the normal $11.

Sauced Night Market

There's a new night market taking place this week, just in time to numb your cold-weather senses with booze and hearty food. Sauced saunters onto the scene November 18 at Emporium in Logan Square, featuring all things food, drink, art, and crafts. The inaugural monthly market runs from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with 15 vendors running the gamut from Gaslight and smalls to Stan's Donuts and Cookies & Carnitas. Solemn Oath Brewery, Virtue Cider, and Sportsman's Club will be providing the buzz. There will also be vintage accoutrements, handmade jewelry, furniture, attire, and more. It's free to attend with a valid I.D.

Farm.Butcher.Table Dinner

Get ready to pig out on sustainable hog. Mangalitsa pig trots into the spotlight for a special Farm.Butcher.Table dinner at Lula Cafe on November 17, featuring the collaborative handiwork of resident chef Jason Hammel, Lillie's Q's Charlie McKenna, The Butcher & Larder's Rob Levitt, and The Publican's Cosmo Goss. The dream team will cull together a five-course spread of sustainable pork, showcasing a mangalitsa pig raised by John Laursen of Farm.Butcher.Table. Tickets are $95 per person and can be purchased here, with proceeds benefitting the Howard Center Inc.
