Rosh Hashanah is just about her, beckoning the Jewish New Year celebrations from September 24 through September 26, and Chicago restaurants aren't sleeping on the opportunity to celebrate.

Real Urban Barbecue: Brisket and other meaty, heady dishes are pivotal for Rosh Hashanah feasts. It is to the Jewish New Year as turkey is to Thanksgiving. Real Urban Barbecue is celebrating appropriately with a special Rosh Hashanah medley of carry-out dishes, so you can bring the familial meal home. Bistronomic: Those looking to enjoy a chef-crafted prix fixe experience should make a reservation at Bistronomic, where executive chef/owner Martial Noguier will be offering a three-course meal available September 24 through 26. Guests get options for each festive course, or they may order dishes a la carte. Dishes include appetizers like Faroe Island salmon escabeche, organic barley risotto, and Chioggia and golden beet salad; entrees such as prime beef short ribs, yellow walleye pike, and fall medley of farm vegetables; and dessert options of apple challah bread pudding and fig and honey financier. The cost for the prix fixe is $40 per person and reservations can be made by calling 312-944-8400.
