Sunday Supper at Le Colonial
 
Le Colonial is set to launch a Sunday Supper series this Sunday, September 7. The family-style event features a different guest host each meal, with yours truly serving as the inaugural host. Divvied into first courses, main courses, side dishes, and dessert, plates include Vietnamese spring rolls with shrimp, pork, and mushrooms; steamed Vietnamese ravioli; crispy noodles with stir-fried vegetables; grilled salmon with dill over vermicelli; fried rice; and banana tapioca. The menu comes with a cocktail pairing and wine pairing. The cost is $50 per person and reservations can be made. 
 

Sophie's Starts Dinner
 
You've got a new weekend dinner option in Sophie’s at Saks Fifth Avenue. Located on the 7th floor of 700 N. Michigan Avenue, the restaurant is implementing weekend dinner service this week, serving every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The menu, courtesy of executive chef Ron Aleman, is a $35 three-course prix fixe that features the likes of heirloom tomato bisque, kabocha squash risotto, and apple crisp. There's also other dinner and dessert dishes on hand. Dinner is served between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Reservations can be made by  visiting here
