Brunch Bites: FAME and Acadia

In this week's batch of brunch bites, FAME launches a new brunch menu and brunch service returns to Acadia

Art, energy, and brunch vitality collide at FAME, an aesthetic, splashy stunner on Division Street. Any spot that employs calligraphers, typographic artists, and graffiti artists is bound to be a cool spot to drink in Bloody Marys and enjoy a unique brunch experience. And it doesn't get any more unique than a Coco Puffs cocktail. Just like childhood, but with Kahlua and Irish cream! To eat, there's lobster 'n' eggs with asparagus, green onions, and truffle aioli; chicken and waffles splashed with bourbon maple syrup; and a bacon bourbon Bloody Mary.

Following a bit of a hiatus, brunch makes its triumphant return to Acadia on June 8. In line with the restaurant's elegant dinnertime stylings, diners can safely expect a healthy amount of pomp and circumstance with their brunch at this South Loop staple. Complimentary pastries begin each brunch meal, followed by menu starter options such as a Scotch egg with violet mustard, Greek yogurt with "hippie" granola, and a morel mushroom and leek tart. Entrees include lobster eggs Benedict with truffle-lobster hollandaise, Serrano ham, and country potatoes; buckwheat Maine blueberry pancakes; and country fried pork neck and eggs. There's also a Bloody Mary with pickled ramps and oyster granita (!).
