SmallBar Divisions Celebrates Ninth Anniversary

Looks like SmallBar isn't so small anymore. Nine years ago on September 8, Chicago was introduced to SmallBar Division, the bar with a diminutive name and big ambitions. Over the years, the place has established itself as one of the preeminent destinations in Chicago for a stellar bar experience. Not only has it amassed an impressive roster of craft beers, but the bar raises the standards on bar food. One of the most chef-driven bars in town, SmallBar Division does a masterful job of appeasing drinkers, diners, and everyone in between with the perfect marriage of exceptional beverages and a creative food menu to match. All these accomplishments merit celebration, and SmallBar is poised to host a nine-year anniversary party this weekend with plenty of booze and food.

On Sunday, September 8, SmallBar hosts a Midwestern boil with Virtue Cider. What's a Midwestern boil, you ask? Well it's a shrimp boil with tons of great local cider and beer. The party starts at 2:00 p.m., and $25 earns you a flight of Virtue Ciders plus an all-you-can-eat shrimp boil picnic. The bar will also have several featured drafts for the day, including Virtue Cidre de Nava, Virtue Ledbury, Half Acre Gossamer Nitro, and Three Floyds Tiberian Inquisitor. Live music courtesy of Sanctified Grumblers takes place between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Get out and toast to the small bar with big heart.
