| Founded at Chicago and Washtenaw in 1950 and now in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood, this family-owned company is best known for "The Chicago Tamale," a paper-wrapped yellow cornmeal shell encasing ground beef flavored with garlic and seven secret spices. The tamales,
