| Sleek, yet eco-friendly Hotel Arista, a 144-room luxury hotel, affiliated with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is poised to be the state's first LEED-certified hotel. The property uses 30 percent less water and 21 percent less energy than hotels of comparable size, uses only chemical-free cleaning products and recycled 70 percent of its construction waste. Guests, however, won't notice the "greenness" amid the luxurious appointments. The hotel features 10,000 square feet of meeting space; a signature restaurant, SugarToad, under the direction of nationally acclaimed Chef Jimmy Sneed; guestrooms equipped with reading lights, flat-panel high-definition televisions, iPod docking stations and WiFi capabilities, as well as marble bathrooms featuring walk-in showers, deep tubs and televisions embedded in the mirrors; plus a 12,000-square-foot spa, salon and fitness center. Instead of desk clerks and bellmen, each guest is welcomed by a Personal Host who assists with room information, personal preferences and any special requests, without handing off responsibilities to other departments. The hotel serves as the focal point of CityGate Centre, a 1 million-square-foot, mixed-use lifestyle center. |
