- Daniel (DJ) Love of Le Bar at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower won the World Cocktail Competition’s State Finals on March 31, 2009, held at Boka. After numerous heats, DJ was declared the winner by the panel of six judges over the other competing Chicago mixologists with his Ambrosia cocktail.

The United States Bartending Guild flew Love to San Francisco to compete in the national competition on May 10.
